• DR Gilles Brisson

    Clinical Biochemist, PHD, CSPQ, FCACB

    President and Scientific Director

    With an impressive track record in the field of clinical biochemistry in both public and private sectors, Dr. Brisson is the President of BNK Laboratories and leads the scientific team. Over a period of 20 years, he was the director of the medical laboratory at Sainte-Justine Hospital and then at the Cité de la santé in Laval. Dr. Brisson has a doctorate in Biochemistry (Endocrinology) from McGill University and a speciality degree from the Ordre des chimistes du Québec.

    He is a founding member of the IRMHAA, a member of the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists and its academy. Among others, Dr. Brisson developed a dosing method of the Bioavailable Testosterone for the diagnosis of acquired hypogonadism (or andropause) that has become a reference in the diagnostics industry. He is regularly invited to speak at conferences by several pharmaceutical companies and by medical organizations to discuss and present his studies.

  • DR Peter Ross

    Clinical Biochemist, PhD, DEPD, CSPQ

    Vice-President, Research and Development

    After completing his post-doctorate studies in clinical biochemistry, Dr. Ross began his career as a Clinical Biochemist at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. He then moved to the pharmaceutical industry where he acquired thorough knowledge in clinical research and in drug development. Dr. Ross directed local, national and international clinical studies of Phases 1 through 4 at Wyeth, Axcan and at Pfizer. Over the years, he’s occupied functions that allowed him to acquire a solid experience in study management and monitoring, clinical data management, sample management, study safety reviews and the use of biomarkers.

    Beginning as a Clinical Scientist working on the field, Dr. Ross has climbed up the ladder taking on management responsibilities first on a national and then on an international scale. He was also Senior Director of Clinical Operations and head of the diagnostic laboratory of a contractual research company serving research pharmaceutical companies and generic drug companies. Dr. Ross thoroughly understands the quality, time, and cost constraints as well as the regulatory, ethical and legal requirements that govern clinical studies. Each sample, each test is essential and must be delivered on time under the highest quality standards.

  • Guy Yves Ngiriye

    Vice-President, Operations

    Mr. Ngiriye has worked 5 years in the laboratory and chemical product industry before spending more than 10 years in clinical research during which he has held positions of increasing responsibilities. He has lead recruitment and selection activities as well as clinical operations.

    Mr. Ngiriye has a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a graduate degree in Bioethics from the Université de Montréal, and with his operational experience, he leads the Operations team at BNK Laboratories. He’s interested in and pays particular attention the specific needs of customers and sees to it that operations run smoothly. With his solid experience in management, Mr. Ngiriye leads BNK Laboratories’ efforts in its mission to meet and to surpass customer expectations both on a national and international scale.

  • Christian Kamel

    B.Sc., M.B.A

    Vice-President, Business Development

    Combining a strong background in project management and in business development, Mr. Kamel has lead various operational and multi-disciplinary teams in the clinical research industry for several years. He also drove the business development efforts for several scientific companies.

    Mr. Kamel has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Business and Administration from HEC Montréal, and he leads Business Development at BNK Laboratories. His professional network both in Quebec and in Ontario will be a precious asset in building strategic relations with partners and customers. Mr. Kamel also acts as an associate at a consultancy firm specializing in business strategies and market development.
